INTRODUCTION
Types of paper
Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication: original article , review articles, short communications, clinical technologies, editorials, video articles, case reports, expert perspectives and teaching and training. The following is the detailed description of each type of article:
Original Article
This is the most common type of journal manuscript used to publish full reports of data from research. An original article is a piece of academic writing that provides analysis, interpretation, and argument based on in-depth independent research. It includes full Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections.
Review Article
Review article is a definitive overview of a major topic or an update of knowledge in a narrower field of current interest. These can be disease-orientated, clinically focused overviews or reviews of health systems or health policy.
Short Communication
Short Communication is a short article (limited to 3000 words) that presents original and significant material for rapid dissemination. A Short communication may focus on the hot issue (such as epidemic outbreak) or a new finding that is expected to have a significant impact. Short communications are expected to have higher than average impact on the field, they will receive prioritized and rapid publication.
Clinical Technology
Clinical technology is a type of article that provides in-depth detail on the methods and results of clinical practice. It includes Case Presentation, Surgical Procedures, Postoperative Condition and Discussion sections. In the discussion section, you can focus on the surgeon's thoughts on surgery, advantages and innovation, key success factors of the operation, the process of overcoming surgical difficulties, risk prevention, etc.
Editorial
Editorials are short articles on issues of topical importance or latest published articles. We encourage our editorial writers to express their opinions, giving the author the opportunity to present criticism or address controversy. The intention is very much that the article should offer a personal perspective on a topic of great clinical or scientific significance.
Video Article
Video article affords author(s) the opportunity to offer peer-reviewed videos. This type of manuscript requires the author(s) to submit a structured abstract, along with a video article. Video article must be 6 to 8 minutes in length, must cover all elements found in a written manuscript, must have narration, and may not contain music. Please note that the narration must be in English. A video article submission may contain images, graphs and/or statistics that support or demonstrate the findings of the video article.
Case Report
A case report is a detailed report of the symptoms, signs, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of an individual patient. Case reports usually describe an unusual or novel occurrence and as such, remain one of the cornerstones of medical progress and provide many new ideas in medicine.
Expert Perspectives
Expert perspective articles are often commissioned by the editors, and allow an expert or experts the opportunity to discuss timely clinical or health topics, or research studies in the field of intelligent surgery.
Teaching and Training
Teaching and training article publishes peer-reviewed research featuring specialty areas that include, but are not limited to: teaching and training in robotic surgery and intelligent medical devices, learning curve analysis of robotic surgery.
