About the Journal
Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering accepts the following types of article:

Open Access

Preparing Your Paper
Article Types
Research article
Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list)
Should be no more than 5500 words, inclusive of:
Abstract
References
Should contain an unstructured abstract of 100 words.
Should contain between 3 and 5 keywords. Read making your article more discoverable, including information on choosing a title and search engine optimization.
Rapid innovative communications
Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list)
Should be no more than 1500 words, inclusive of:

Review times will be shorter for submissions of this nature.
Style Guidelines
Please refer to these quick style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Any spelling style is acceptable so long as it is consistent within the manuscript.
Please use single quotation marks, except where ‘a quotation is “within” a quotation’.
Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.
