About the Journal
Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly accepts the following types of article: Original articles, Book Reviews, Editorial, Erratum, Corrigendum.
Please note that this journal publishes the main body of the manuscript in English only. The abstracts are translated by the Journal office and will appear in both English and French.
This journal accepts the following article types:
Research Articles report research and practice, and are typically 5000 words in length plus figures and tables.
Technical letter are for preliminary announcements of the results of current work, or short accounts of new techniques: typically less than 2000 words in length with, at most, three figures and/or tables.
Review should deal with their subject in a broad perspective, examining the current position critically and comprehensively; these are typically 7500 words in length plus figures and tables, and well referenced. Authors wishing to contribute a review should contact the editor to discuss their proposal before submitting.

Preparing Your Paper
Structure
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Word Limits
Please include a word count for your paper.
A typical paper for this journal should be no more than 3500 words
Format-Free Submission
Authors may submit their paper in any scholarly format or layout. Manuscripts may be supplied as single or multiple files. These can be Word, rich text format (rtf), open document format (odt), or PDF files. Figures and tables can be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents. Figures should be of sufficient resolution to enable refereeing.
