Preparing Your Paper
All authors submitting to medicine, biomedicine, health sciences, allied and public health journals should conform to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, prepared by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Article Types
Regular (Original Articles)
Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list)
Should be no more than 6000 words, inclusive of:

Should contain a structured abstract of 200 words.
A structured abstract should cover (in the following order): Introduction: Describe the background to the study, hypotheses, aims, objectives, research questions, etc. Methods: Include outline of the methodology and design of experiments; materials employed and subject/participant numbers with basic relevant demographic information; the nature of the analyses performed. Results: Outline the important and relevant results of the analyses. Conclusions: State the basic conclusions and implications of the study. State, clearly and usefully, if there are implications for management, treatment or service delivery. Read tips on writing your abstract.
Should contain between 1 and 1 keywords. Read making your article more discoverable, including information on choosing a title and search engine optimization.
